Chapter 14

"I'm going to miss you giving me hell for taking too long in the shower." He wrapped me so tight in his arms. I never wanted him to let me go.

"Your a guy you shouldn't take and hour in the shower." I looked up at him and gave him a soft kiss.

"Puppy love is so sappy, get a room young lovers!" Ovechkin shouted over from the door. Nick kissed me back while giving him the finger I hit his chest.

"Be nice he is just playing."

"Me too." He continued to give him the finger. He pulled away and held my hands

"Bye baby, I will call you when I get there." I pulled him in for one last kiss and watch him until he went inside.
I walked to the car, the whole time I was wondering what Brian and Nick talked about, it was driving me crazy. I drove for home and decided to call Brian.

"What's up Chicky, you drop Nick off and you call me, interesting." I almost hung up.

"It's not like that, I wanted to know what you and him talked about."

"I'm not telling you." He said in a joking matter.

"Please Brian, he is really important to me and makes me happy, does that even matter to you?"
"Maybe, but I don't think you have been honest with him." When he said that I knew exactly what he was referring to.

"You wouldn't tell him."

"I was thinking about it."

"Why do you get to decide that." I felt my voice getting louder. "It is my choice if and when to tell him not you!"

"I'm just as much apart of this as you!"

"No you aren't, this is not your relationship it is mine, I can easily ruin what you and Sarah have with this too, keep your mouth shut!"

"Well if you talk to me like that I surely won't consider your feelings."

"I'm picking you up, we need to talk, where are you?"

"I dunno Kate, don't really feel like hanging out right now." I could tell he found this as a big joke

"Brian this is not funny! You don't care about me one bit, you never even cared if I was happy, for once can you be an adult and talk to me about this!" He sighed and didn't say anything "Please....."

"Fine, I'm at the Best Western."
I drove faster then I did when I dropped Nick off. I pulled up to the Front and Brian was sitting on the bench with his hood up. He got in and didn't say one word.

"Where do you want to go?" He turned and looked at me

"I don't care, I will pull over here and talk."

"Fine by me."
I pulled over and took off my seat belt. I looked at him but he wouldn't look at me. We sat for about 5 minutes before we said anything.

"He should know Kate." He sat with his hood up and hands in his pocket. Still not looking at me.

"Why this has nothing to do with him, it's my business and I plan to keep it that way."
He finally sat up and looked at me

"I thought you said that this was important to you."

"It is."

"Then tell him." I wanted to punch him so hard right in his face.

"Why are you so concerned about this! you don't even like him." He pulled his hood down and turned towards me.

"Kate, I don't think it's any secret, I'm in love with you, we could work this out, I could work here and everything could be like it used to."

"Brian, please don't start this."

Before I knew it Brian grabbed my face and kissed me. I quickly pulled away, stunned that he would just do that.

"Brian! you can't just do that!" I started the car and put my seat belt on "Tell him whatever you want, break us up I don't give a shit but I'm sorry I'm over you."

I drove him back to his hotel. The car ride was silent. He looked at me one last time before he got out of the car.

"You just made the biggest mistake of your life." He slammed the door and I sped off.
I waited for Nicks call all day. Finally around 3 my phone went off

"Hey beautiful we made it that flight made me so tired." It was so nice to hear his voice

"Nick.." My voice started to crack, I couldn't believe I was crying again! "I need to tell you something."
