Chapter 22

"Well Ms. Patrick. I've got some good news and some bad news." The doctor sat my chart down on the table.

"Good news first please." I said trying to smile but my face hurt.

"Your nose is not broken so we won't have to put it back in place." He smile and slid around the room on his chair. He was a weird doctor.

"Alright hit me with the bad news." I just stared at him while he rolled around the room.

"It is badly bruised, so you are going to have a very unsightly nose for about 3 weeks, the swelling should go down in about 2 weeks." He stopped moving around and pushed the button on the chair to make it go down, he was hands down the weirdest doctor I have ever met.

"That's not bad, I rather that then it being broken." I hoped up off the table.

"Hold on Missy, that's not it." He walked out and opened the door and two police officers walked in. "Ms. Patrick this is Officer Garcia and Officer Jameson they just need to ask you some questions."

"Wait, what is this all about." I tried to walk out. The larger officer stopped me and asked me to sit down.

"Ms. Patrick, this is standard that we come here and ask you some questions about your boyfriend, especially since he was the one to cause you injury and that he brought you in here, its a safety precaution."

"Um okay but you are wasting your time." Officer Jameson sat down.

"We are willing to waste our time to ensure peoples safety." I sat back down and rolled my eyes. They asked me a million questions, I was so embarrassed because I had to reveal what me and Nick where doing, and about to do before he hit my nose. I walked outside and text Nick to tell him I was okay, just a bruise. I grabbed a cab back to my hotel and had to find something to do for two hours before I headed to the arena. I read a little bit, took a shower, watch some TV, put some make-up on and then I finally headed to the arena. Nick had gotten me a Jersey with his number on it so I wore it. I sat right behind the bench, I was alone it felt a little weird, but I quickly made friends with the two caps fans sitting behind me, they even bought me a beer, I couldn't except it but the thought was nice. I saw Nick and waved to him, to my surprise he waved back. The game was going pretty good and then someone took a cheap shot on Nick, I jump up quite abruptly.

"Watch it!! put him in the box Ref!!" I banged on the glass and Laich turned around, I put my hand over my mouth and sat down, he laughed and then pointed at my noes, I didn't want to distract him from the game so I just shrugged my shoulders.

The game was really close in the beginning but the caps ended up losing 5-2 and Nick had another goal. The team skated off the Ice and I walked outside and sat on one of the benches. I gazed up at the sky. It was about an hour before Nick came out.

"Hey Kiddo, how's the noes?" He walked up and gave me a kiss.

"Fine, nice goal, when you got hit I stood up and yelled." I smiled, proud of myself.

"Yeah Brooksy told me about it, he said you were banging on the glass and everything." He smiled and kissed my head. "I'm going to take you back to your hotel but we have to leave again tonight to go to San Jose. I can spend a little time with you we are leaving in two hours, also I have a car set up for you and everything to take you to the airport."

"Thanks for bringing me out here, It's been a lot of fun." I sinked into his arms.

"I love spending my time with you, I wish you could stay but Josh only gave me two days."

"I know it sucks, and your gonna be gone for three more days too!" I looked up and kissed him.

"That looks painful." He lightly touched my nose.

"It's not that bad, I was to worried about my weird doctor in there to even care about my nose." He laughed

"That guy was sooo weird!! I thought I was the only one who saw that."

"Yeah no you didn't see anything, he was rolling around and spinning in his doctor chair."

"I would have left he creeped me out." He took my hand and started to walk down the sidewalk.

"Why are you guys leaving in two hours, don't you usually just leave right after the game?"

"Yeah but Ovie has got some interviews so a soon as he is done we are leaving." He put his bag down. "I'm gonna call a cap again do you mind."

"No not at all."

We got into the cab and got back to my hotel in about 15 minutes because of the traffic. He walked me up stairs an when we got into my room he kissed me very passionately.

"What was that for?" I tilted my head and kissed him back.

"Remember you were mad at me for ruining the moment, can I make that up for you?"

"Hmmm, I don't, maybe, only if you watch my nose this time, if you hit it again it would hurt a whole lot more."

He pulled my hips into his and slowly took my shirt of, carefully watching my nose. I ran my finger through his wet hair. He tripped when he took his pants off and I laughed into his neck, I couldn't stop I had the giggles.

"I think it's you ruining the moment this time." He laid me on the bed gently, he was treating me like I was very fragile, I guess after he hit my nose he felt really bad.

"I can't help it your so clumsy." I laid down smiling up at him while he was unbuttoning my jeans. "It's cute though."

"Great now I'm a cute, clumsy adorable guy."

"And I love it!"

He slowly laid down, intertwining his legs with mine, he kissed me like he was never going to see me again. He was an amazing kisser, they must have like a Swedish school for kissing, because he was so good. He ran his fingers down my stomach. This wasn't the first time me and Nick had sex but it felt like it. I don't know what got into him but he was so caring and loving, he made me feel very comfortable. The only thing that got me worried was that we didn't have any condoms, so we didn't use one.
