Chapter 27

I leaned on the wall and watched Nick as he paced back and forth. He hadn't said a word to me nor did he look at me. "How long has it been?" He finally glanced my way.

"Two minutes." I put my hands on my knees and slid down the wall to sit. "I'm not pregnant."

"How do you know?!" He barked back at me and I got aggravated.

"I'm going to let you two talk I will be downstairs." Josh gave me a look and walked down the stairs.

"How the fuck do you think I know Nick? I have been pregnant before remember? I think I know how I'm suppose to feel." He crossed his arms and walked around a little more.

"I'm sorry." He sat down next to me. "It's just all these thoughts are running through my head like what's going to happen to you, what your family is going to think of me, what my family is going to think of me. I don't know it just scares me I'm sorry." I looked at him and leaned my head on him.

"I'm just worried about what's going to happen to us." He scooted away a little bit and gave me a shocked look.

"Kate do you think I will leave you if it's positive?" Before I could answer Josh walked upstairs.

"It's been 5 minutes." He was looking at his watch. I sighed and stood up and walked to the bathroom. I put my hands up when they followed behind me.

"Can I look at it first? Alone." They looked at each other. Nick spoke first.

"Yeah sure, we will just sit out here." They both sat down. I walked into the bathroom and stared at the test from a distance before I walked towards it. I looked at it for about a minute, turned around and sat down on the floor.

"Kate can we come in?" Nick came to the door. I took a deep breath and nodded it. Nick didn't even look at the test, he looked at me and knew. He wrapped me in his arms. Josh walked over and threw the test in the trash.

"No more scares miss lady! Always use a condom!" Josh rubbed my head and walk out.

"Are you relieved?" I looked up at Nick and smiled.

"A little but you know I would have taken care of you if you were pregnant." I kissed him.

"Yeah I know, oh and one more thing....I told you so." He smiled and walked into my room, I followed him. He sat on my bed and put his shoes on.

"Where you going?" I sat down next to him.

"You should get changed. I want to take you somewhere."

"Where??" He smiled and walked to my closet.

"It's a surprise, but you should wear something warm." I walked behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist.

"Okay but where are we going?" He turn around and shut the door and threw me against the wall.

"Surprise Kate!" He kissed my neck.

"Okay okay." I pushed his hair back and changed into some jeans and hoodie. I looked at him for approval. "Warm enough?"

"No put something on under that." He grabbed a smaller sweat shit out of my drawer and threw it towards me. "I will be downstairs waiting." I quickly threw on the sweat shirt and put some make up on. I walked into the living room to see all the boys watching TV.

"Ready?" Nick stood up and put his coat on.

"Yeah, do they know were your taking me?" I pointed to Josh and Riley.

"Yup!" Riley turned around. "And I hate you I'm so jealous!"

"What is going on!!??" I screamed and they all laughed. Nick grabbed my hand and walked me to the car. He started the car and headed down the street.

"Shit Nick how long are we going to me out?" I looked at my watch.

"I don't no why?"

"The broncos play today at 7. Me and Riley were going to watch the game." He laughed. "What?"
"Nothing." He had a cute grin.

"Wait a second." I turned by body towards him. "They play the Redskins today." He kept smiling "Nick is that where you're taking me??!!"

"Oh do they?"

"Don't lie you know!! Is that where we are going??!!" He pulled me into his chest.

"I can't get anything past you can I?" I screamed from excitement.

"Oh my god Nick! I can't believe you!! What even made you think of this?!" I grabbed his face and kissed him.

"Careful, driving here." He smiled. "Remember when we first met you told me that you were more of a football fan then a hockey fan. Well sometimes I listen to you when you talk."

"Thank you Nick! You are amazing."

"Tell me something I don't know." He pulled into a parking spot right near the stadium, apparently he told them that he was coming to the game and they reserved a spot for him. We walked to our seats. They were front row right on the 50 yard line.

"Good seats?" He looked at me.

"Nick I'm speechless." We sat down and waited for the game to start. I was crazy screaming and shouting.

"I'm really surprised you can scream that loud." Nick looked at me and smiled.

"When it comes to football I scream so loud I lose my voice."

"So that's all I need to do! Bring a football into the bedroom. Hmmmm." I smacked him playfully and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders.

"You are such a perv!"

"You like it."

"Maybe." I kissed him and got up to get a drink.

The game was amazing. I felt like I was on the field. The broncos lost but I was just so happy to go and of course Nick rubbed it in my face. We got home and it was about 11 and Riley was out and Josh was asleep.

"Want to go back to my place?" Nick stood at the door.

"Yeah." I followed him out the door and hopped back into the car. He leaned over and kissed me for what seemed like 5 minutes.

"What are you doing?" I looked at him and smiled.

"What does it look like I'm doing." I unbuckled my seat belt and climbed on top of him I put the seat back and kissed him.
